Bat Making

Cricket bats are hand made from the very best English willow, using only traditional tools by us in Jalandhar, India. The bat making process is illustrated below.strong


Each cleft is hand selected

The clefts are then individually hand drawn before being cut to size for pressing

A ā€˜Vā€™ is cut in the cleft ready for the handle

The handle making process begins with the turning of the handle

The handles are roped in preparation for drying

The handles are then dried

In the same way the handle is shaped to fit the cleft

The handle is then glued ready for inserting into the cleft

The handle is fitted into the cleft

Once the handle has been fitted, the cleft is then pressed

The finished product for displaying in the shop
